Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, assist with directional questions, and document daily activities, observations, and incident details in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
Support emergency response activities, including following post orders, communicating with site personnel, and helping to maintain orderly operations during weather events, alarms, and/or other unexpected situations.
