Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, assist with directional questions, and document daily activities, observations, and incident details in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
  • Support emergency response activities, including following post orders, communicating with site personnel, and helping to maintain orderly operations during weather events, alarms, and/or other unexpected situations.
