About The Position

As a Security Officer Court Screener in Fontana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help support daily entry screening operations, monitor assigned areas, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This role includes assisting visitors with professionalism, using screening technology, and communicating clearly with staff and the public. Requirements

  • Two or more years of security-related experience are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government court location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and packages at designated entry points using approved screening equipment and established protocols, and help to identify prohibited items and/or unusual activity.
  • Monitor access to the facility, verify entry authorization as required, and direct visitors to appropriate check-in areas, courtrooms, and/or public service offices.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with court personnel, visitors, and/or first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned public areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or policy violations.
