As a Security Officer Screener in Anchorage, AK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help screen people and/or materials, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or deliveries entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed protocols.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations with professionalism, document observations, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, loading and receiving locations, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
