About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for access control at an automotive manufacturing location in Mount Holly, NC. This is a driving position. The officer helps maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, responding to alarms, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, and conducting patrols. The role is scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at $16.32 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Supervisory experience.
Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for people and vehicles entering or leaving designated areas; issue visitor passes and maintain accurate access-related records.
Monitor access-control systems, alarms, cameras, and entry points; report irregularities, equipment concerns, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
