About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for a manufacturing and industrial location in Disputanta, Virginia. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control. The role uses computer or tablet systems to document observations and reports, communicates professionally with employees and visitors, and provides customer service. The position is scheduled for Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Sunday from 1:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The pay rate is $17.51 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial work areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures, and maintain accurate security logs and reports.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders while supporting a secure and orderly workplace environment.
