As an Access Control Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to alarm notifications. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points at a chemical and petrochemical location, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
  • Control access for deliveries, contractors, and authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements, including directing visitors to designated check-in areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
