About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer – EMT Patrol Driver in North Haven, Connecticut. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned healthcare site, with the option to pick up additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The fixed weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may offer opportunities to work up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to scale back. The pay rate is $23.16 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

• Possess EMT certification.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with company and site requirements.
