Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access at assigned entry points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, trailer yard, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate reports and documentation of access activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
