About The Position

As a Security Officer Evenings X Ray Screening in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Operate screening equipment and inspect persons, packages, and permitted belongings in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Verify identification, visitor credentials, and access authorization; direct individuals to appropriate entry points or check-in areas.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited-item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as required.
  • Maintain accurate screening logs, incident documentation, and reports while communicating observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
