About The Position

As a Security Officer New York State Licensed Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols in a healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner in accordance with site procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and follow-up information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
