As a Security Officer Security Clearance Patrol Readiness in HERNDON, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms, and communicate professionally with personnel and visitors. Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, restricted-access areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
