About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Winchester, Virginia. The unarmed officer will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role uses computer or tablet tools as needed and includes responding to incidents and documenting observations and activities.

The position pays $21.36 per hour. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 2:00 AM to 12:00 PM each day.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
