As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. You will verify credentials, manage entry and exit activity, maintain accurate logs, conduct routine patrols, and operate a vehicle as part of this driving post. Through professional communication and a visible presence, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional service with integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Must have at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access by verifying credentials and authorizations for employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors before permitting entry.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, maintain access records, issue visitor credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
  • Inspect incoming vehicles, deliveries, and materials in accordance with site procedures and escalate irregularities to designated personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the facility, and perimeter.
  • Operate a vehicle as part of this driving post.
