As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization when required, and assist with directions and access-related questions in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
