As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Perimeter Patrol in Gardendale, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and first responders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry into restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation of incidents, patrols, observations, and actions taken.
