As a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol Driver in Taylorsville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service and communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit at designated access points, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in a correctional government facility.
