About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a driver perimeter-patrol role at a manufacturing and industrial site in Chicago, Illinois. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the option to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week or scale back as needed. The stated pay rate is $21.00 per hour. The listed shift is Monday, 8:00 PM–4:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include responding to incidents and alarms, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access, and documenting and communicating relevant activity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Any applicable state or local licensing requirements may need to be met prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, loading docks, parking areas, entrances, and the facility perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and remain aware of visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activity and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
