As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as a Screener supporting a dynamic tech and media location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and provide professional customer service and communication. In this role, you will support access procedures and help identify security-related concerns while representing our agile, reliable, and innovative team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or packages in accordance with site policies while reporting unusual activity and security-related concerns to the appropriate contact.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting follow-up actions as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting access control issues, screening concerns, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Assist with visitor processing, credential checks, and entry point monitoring to help support organized operations and help to deter unauthorized access.
