Requirements

  • Hospital site assignments may require compliance with applicable vaccine requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific policies and access procedures.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and visitor credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, urgent situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Support badge distribution, visitor sign-in, phone and radio communications, and accurate documentation of daily activity, incidents, and security-related concerns.
  • Assist with directing guests to appropriate departments, maintaining an organized reception area, and communicating clearly with healthcare staff regarding arrivals, deliveries, and/or unusual activity.
