About The Position

As a Security Officer Museum Patrol in Denver, Colorado, you will serve and safeguard clients at a cultural institution. This is an unarmed patrol role focused on monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming experience for guests, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine rounds, report security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. The role is part-time and scheduled for daytime shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; a license may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to guests, families, staff, volunteers, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
Monitor entrances, exhibit areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas; report unusual activity, hazards, policy concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, visitor concerns, medical situations, and other critical events, following established emergency response procedures.
Assist with access control, visitor directions, and crowd management.
Document incidents, observations, and daily activity reports.
