About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Museum Security Officer for a high-profile location in the Greater Los Angeles Area. The role combines visitor-facing hospitality and guest engagement with observation, attention to detail, and security duties to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. The position is available on a full-time or part-time swing-shift schedule; shift details will be discussed during the interview process. The hourly wage is $21. Uniforms are provided at no cost, and the site offers an air-conditioned work environment, free parking, and an on-site restaurant and café. Requirements

Be authorized to work in the United States.
Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
Hold a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and have completed additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Have strong report-writing skills.
Have good eyesight and the ability to maintain focus.
Have strong proficiency with technology.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience, including hospitality, hotel, corporate lobby, theme park, or similar experience; it is welcomed but not required.
Security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist visitors, employees, and vendors professionally and courteously.
Maintain a welcoming and professional presence throughout the venue.
Provide directions, answer general inquiries, and support visitors.
Document observed events and incidents and write detailed reports.
Respond promptly to incidents or potential threats and coordinate with emergency teams.
Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
Control access to secure areas and protect property and exhibits.
Control ingress and egress for guests and employees.
Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
Communicate security concerns and write incident reports.
Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies.
Help protect the safety of individuals and property.
Work with site management and the security team to maintain site safety.
