As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to inspect packages and materials, help identify prohibited items, and support access control procedures. You will provide professional communication and customer service while helping maintain a secure environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen packages, freight, vehicles, and personnel entering designated logistics and distribution areas in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping documentation, and report discrepancies or unauthorized activity to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading docks, business operations, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
