About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for credential auditing in Carson City, Nevada. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The scheduled shift listed is Monday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM. The pay rate is $25.00 per hour.

The officer supports security operations at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by providing customer service, following site procedures, monitoring access and activity, patrolling the site, and responding to incidents. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and escalate concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries according to site-specific requirements.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.
