Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, trailers, yards, and shipping and receiving zones.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the perimeter, parking areas, gate positions, and operational spaces, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Support visitor, contractor, and/or vehicle processing by maintaining logs, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting unusual activity, damaged barriers, and other security-related issues.
