Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, vendors, and employees by following site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting unusual activity.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and/or trailer access records, communicate with site contacts regarding arrivals and departures, and support orderly traffic flow at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, gates, and perimeter, noting changing conditions and reporting maintenance, operational, and/or security-related issues.
