About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a leading biotechnology location in Apex, North Carolina. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, interact professionally with employees and visitors, respond to concerns, document activity using computer or tablet systems, and support a welcoming environment through customer service. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at $20.00 per hour. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR certification.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Interact professionally with employees and visitors, respond to concerns, and document activity using computer or tablet systems.
