About The Position

ProHealth Care is seeking a Security Officer for Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. This is a part-time position with 28 hours per week, specifically on the night shift. The role involves ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and physicians within the healthcare setting. The officer will need to be adept at communication, observation, documentation, and de-escalation techniques, remaining calm and professional in stressful situations. Proficiency in using handcuffs and responding to aggressive behavior is also required. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record required.
Ability to work the location and shift requirements of the position.
Strong communication, observation and documentation skills.
Ability to remain calm, professional and decisive in stressful or emergent situations.
Ability to respond appropriately to aggressive or violent behavior using training, policy and de-escalation techniques.
Willingness to attend regularly scheduled Defensive Tactics for Security and Professional Communication Skills training.
Ability to maintain proficiency in the application and removal of handcuffs.
Comfort working in a health care environment with patients, visitors, staff, physicians, vendors and community partners.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or higher preferred.
Related security experience preferred.
