At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, and OB/GYN in our 8 operating rooms. As an Orthopedic Center of Excellence the majority of our cases are within the orthopedic service line. Our largest case volume includes same day discharge procedures for total joints.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire

Nice To Haves

Completion of a program for anesthesia tech, surgical tech or previous anesthesia tech or EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains cleanliness, readiness, organization, and stock levels in the anesthesia work room, all anesthesia workstations, and OR's, which includes restocking of anesthesia Med carts.
Prepares and assembles equipment necessary for invasive procedures, and assists Anesthesiologist as needed.
Activates anesthesia machines daily, completing leak tests, able to calibrate oximeter on anesthesia machines.
Demonstrates Knowledge of emergency situations and difficult airway equipment.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care in a cost effective environment.
Has working knowledge of anesthesia agents, reversal agents, analgesics, and anti-emetics.
