As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Driver in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to shoppers and staff. You will use clear communication and sound judgment while supporting a positive environment. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, visitors, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, and reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and adherence to location procedures while maintaining professional communication with employees, contractors, and the public.
