As a Security Officer Full Time Site Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor resident and visitor activity in accordance with location rules, helping to support an orderly environment while treating all individuals with professionalism and respect.
• Assist with de-escalation support, address non-emergency issues as appropriate, and communicate with emergency services and/or designated contacts when conditions call for additional response.
