About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and security-related protocols within a shelter location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors, emergency services, and/or designated site personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor activity at the location and document incidents, observations, and/or policy-related concerns in written reports and daily activity logs.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, de-escalation support, and/or direction of residents and visitors during urgent situations while following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
