About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for front desk operations at a commercial property in Rochester, New York. The officer serves as a welcoming presence, supporting access control, visitor management, and communication with tenants and guests while helping maintain a professional, orderly environment and providing customer service. The role is scheduled Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and pays $18.00 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related activities at the front desk.
Welcome visitors, verify identification and authorization as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
Monitor access points, receive incoming calls, and direct guests, deliveries, and inquiries to the appropriate location or contact.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established emergency response procedures.
Remain aware of front-desk activity and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership or site management.
