About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time armed patrol Security Officer to support a government healthcare location in Coral Springs, Florida. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and government facility personnel by conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to security and emergency concerns, and providing professional customer service. The position pays $21.82 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 5 years of security-related experience.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and government facility personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor direction and traffic flow.
Maintain required firearms qualifications and comply with applicable laws, regulations, post orders, and Allied Universal policies regarding armed duties.
