About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Flex Overnight Corporate Building Patrol in New York, NY. The role provides a consistent assigned-site schedule, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The assigned weekly shift requires a six-month commitment; additional shifts may be taken to increase hours, up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position is intended for unarmed corporate-building security patrol. Pay is $19.06 per hour.

The schedule lists Monday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. The officer supports tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location, follows site procedures, monitors building access, patrols interior and exterior areas, responds to incidents, and reports observations and concerns. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and contractor entry according to established site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
