About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Cordova, Tennessee, you will help safeguard the site by managing entry and exit points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, conducting patrols, and maintaining a visible security presence. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal’s driver policy. The role involves customer service for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel, and responding to incidents according to site procedures. The listed pay rate is $17.39 per hour. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as applicable, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Control the entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with established procedures to help deter unauthorized access.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; document observations and report unusual activity.
