About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Patrol Driver in Clayton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. Bring strong customer service and communication skills while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, donors, and/or contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and/or vendor access as directed, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support daily operations at a healthcare location by helping with order maintenance in public areas, providing directions, and assisting with site-specific procedures during routine and elevated activity.
