As a Security Officer Diploma Required Patrol Role in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that puts people first, values integrity, and brings an agile, innovative approach to every shift.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and/or public agency personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and resident movement in accordance with site protocols, reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activity, and/or notable observations, and assist with directing individuals to the proper location or resources when needed.
