As a Security Officer Security Clearance Patrol Operations in Rockville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service. Your communication and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and/or operational needs.
