As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic public-facing location, helping to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control and badge processes, respond to concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. Use computer or tablet systems to document activities while embodying our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, trespassing, theft, and/or other policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
