As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Route Inspection in FAIRFAX, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
Communicate observations, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with post orders.
