As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or other security-related issues.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information in accordance with site policies, and report discrepancies or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
Support day-to-day operations by completing incident reports, maintaining awareness of sensitive areas and equipment, and following post orders for a fast-paced telecom and technology environment.
