As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring environment through reliable teamwork, professionalism, and integrity while responding to security-related concerns and assisting staff, patients, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, support access-control procedures, and provide directions or assistance to individuals throughout the location.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
