Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when required in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or first responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escort requests as needed, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports and documentation related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or observations, and support Allied Universal standards for professionalism and customer service at the location.
