As a Security Officer Full Time Building Patrol in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide welcoming customer service, communicate clearly with guests and team members, and support access control and alarm response activities. Requirements

  • Have at least two years of security-related experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and/or associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a hotel or resort location.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, common spaces, parking areas, service corridors, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe conditions throughout the location, reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and communicate professionally with hotel staff, guests, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.
