As a Security Officer Patrol Driver License Required in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic chemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unusual conditions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to the appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including exterior grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and designated operational zones, while reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for restricted areas, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to sensitive chemical and industrial locations.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and/or shift documentation, and support site emergency procedures, evacuations, and accountability processes when needed.
