About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Protective Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This role calls for clear communication, sound judgment, and a professional approach while responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Maintain a professional armed presence while monitoring assigned areas, access points, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the property, including interior common areas, exterior grounds, garages, loading areas, and other designated locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
  • Document observations, patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in required reports and promptly communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
