About The Position

The Armed Security Officer serves as a first responder to incidents such as accidents, emergencies, medical aids, and requests for assistance. This role involves guarding and escorting monies, safeguarding nightly drops from VLT machines, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents and assist guests. The officer must possess knowledge of all Twin River Casino facilities, assist guests with information and services, and check identification in compliance with Rhode Island state law. Responsibilities include preparing security reports, communicating with guests and outside agencies, assisting in employee investigations, and providing security for special events. The role also involves acting as escorts for various individuals, roving parking lots and the exterior of the casino, and responding quickly to emergencies like fires, fights, thefts, and arrests. Additionally, the officer must observe and report unsafe conditions and assist law enforcement agencies. Patrols include entrances, the gaming floor, and bar areas to monitor alcohol consumption. The position also involves monitoring physical access control, verifying authorization, and issuing badges. Officers may detain, retrain, or eject individuals violating company policies or the law.

Responsibilities

  • First responders to matters of incident to include accidents, emergencies, medical aids and request for assistance from other departments.
  • Guard and escort monies to specific locations throughout the facility and safe guard the nightly drop of monies and tickets from the VLT machines.
  • Strategically posted at visible locations throughout the facility to deter incidents and remain accessible to guests.
  • Possess knowledge of all Twin River Casino facilities
  • Assist guests by providing information and services or directing guests to the appropriate source for assistance.
  • Checks identification of individuals entering Twin River in compliance with Rhode Island state law.
  • Prepare security reports, communicate with guests, outside agencies, and assist in employee investigations.
  • Provide security for special events, fights, parties, employee events, and tournaments
  • Act as escorts for guests, employees, outside agencies, transportation of injured employees, and disabled guests.
  • Rove self-parking lots, valet, and exterior of casino.
  • Act quickly in emergency response which includes injured guests and employees, fires, fights, thefts, and arrests.
  • Observe and report any hazardous, dangerous or unsafe conditions that may cause injury to guests and/or employees.
  • Assist fire, police, or other law enforcement agency in their official capacity when responding to or investigating incidents within the facility.
  • Patrol and monitor entrances, gaming floor, and bar areas for the control of alcohol consumption.
  • Monitor the physical access control for the facility verifying authorization and issuing visitor and employee access badges in accordance with the Department of Business Regulations and Rhode Island Lottery.
  • When appropriate detain and retrain persons that have or are about to commit a crime or present danger.
  • When appropriate eject persons who are in violations of company policies and procedures.
