About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Specialist in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

• Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the banking center, lobby, offices, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation related to daily activities, patrol findings, and/or client concerns while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific expectations.
