As a Security Officer in Elk River, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, manage access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. Use computer or tablet tools to document observations and communicate clearly with team members and visitors. Bring integrity, reliability, and a people-first mindset to a collaborative team.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports on patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related events in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
