As a Security Officer Transit Day Shift in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transit location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to riders, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, bus stops, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, assist with directing authorized visitors and vendors, and report access-control concerns or facility issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts.
